Leta Olivia Crowe Hemingson: b 1919, d May 24 1992
Ellsworth Vincent Hemingson: b 1914, d Apr 27 2008
Ellsworth went to work at Eldorado in 1955. Leta and their five children
followed in August of 1956 to a partially finished home in Uranium City in time
for the beginning of the school year. Leta was a registered nurse and worked at
the Uranium City Hospital for a few years before moving on to become the local
Public health Nurse until her retirement in the late 70's. Ellsworth followed
his passion of prospecting, mining and geology while working at Eldorado and
obtained his pilots license at 50 years of age. Ellsworth loved flying and with
a partnership in a Piper Cub airplane with Clifford Kilbreath he expanded his
prospecting horizons. In the late 70's they retired to Vancouver Island in the Comox
Valley for the summers and down to Yuma Arizona for the winters. They both loved
the North and took great delight in sharing their many slides, photos and
stories with old and new found friends.
They leave behind Donna, Bruce, Brian, Keith and Terry and their spouses and
children - Alfreda, Brett, Michael Collins; Cecile, Lorraine, Devin,
Howard; Linda, David, Laura, Clayton; Charmaine and Letitia.
