Henry Jarzab – Oct. 26, 1930 - Dec. 31, 2003 

 

Henry Jarzab died of cancer in Creston, B.C. at the age of 73. He and Eva had moved to Uranium City right after getting married in 1957 and lived there until 1983. Henry is survived by Eva, who now lives in Prince Albert, and their six children: Therese (Tim) Jelinski of Prince Albert, Lucie (Mike) Clark of Saskatoon, Michel (Michelle Schaff) Jarzab of Saskatoon, Diane (Chris) Grambo of Prince Albert, Claudette (Shayne) Donohue of Marathon, Ont. and Adam Jarzab of Calgary. He also leaves 20 grandchildren. Henry first worked at the Eldorado mine, then ran a trucking business, followed by several years as airport manager, at Eldorado and then Kenora, Ont. He and Eva had an orchard in Creston for 10 years before retiring in 1995. Henry will be remembered as a man who loved his family, cherished his friendships, had a wonderful sense of humour, and was respected for his integrity and generosity.
