Elaine Joyce Shafer

Elaine completed her earthly mission and went home to her Maker November 26, 2005.  She passed peacefully in her sleep at her home, the Silver Birch Lodge, in Sherwood Park, AB at the age of 84 years.

Elaine was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Archie Shafer, sisters, Patricia, Lois and Shirley and grandson Donnie.

She will be greatly missed by her children Del (Janet) Shafer, Layne (Kim) Shafer, Wanda (Garry) Husak, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Muriel Ward and Joan Butler and their families as well as all her extended family and friends.

A special Thank you goes out to the Silver Birch Lodge staff, Home Care staff and Dr. Trent Dusang for their loving care of Elaine over the past four years.

There will be a "Day of Celebration" held December 27th at the Silver Birch Lodge, 910 Bison Way, Sherwood Park, AB from 1:30pm to 3:30pm in honor of Elaine.

This is not a goodbye but rather a see you later.
